Valentine’s Day at Gruene Hall

So typically, my husband and I don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day, per se.  We don’t go crazy with cards and flowers and the like, but this year we did get out of the house to see Dale Watson and His Lone Stars at Gruene Hall, which was built in 1878, and is the oldest continually run dance hall in Texas.  When the music is playing and everyone’s dancing, you can feel the floor heaving and moving beneath you.  It’s always a good time and this show was no exception. 

There was honky-tonk and love songs galore; one of my favorites of the night being, “My Baby Makes Me Gravy”.  Definitely a good time, and always nice to spend some time with my sweetie.  Next time you’re in New Braunfels, be sure to catch a show there, it won’t disappoint!
