What to Expect When You Book a Boudoir Photoshoot

Feeling a little nervous or uncertain is absolutely and completely to be expected, as just about everyone shares feeling this way prior to a photoshoot, of any kind, really. So to put your mind at ease, here’s a rundown of what to expect when you book a boudoir photoshoot!

THE CONSULTATION

Before your session, we’ll plan out all the details - from what to wear, styling, and what to bring. Don’t worry if you don’t have any idea of what to wear or aren’t the lingerie type! Each session is styled and tailored to you, so we’ll help you with all of the planning. You can choose to have your makeup and hair professionally done for some extra pampering, or elect to arrive ready to go. I promise you, either is beautiful and works wonderfully!

THE DAY OF YOUR PHOTOSHOOT

On the day of your photoshoot, all you have to do is show up and be your beautiful self! We’ve already planned out all the details so really, it’s all taken care of and you can have fun. I think there’s this misconception that a boudoir photoshoot is this serious thing where you have to “be sexy” or try to do certain looks, but really, it’s laid back, there’s a lot of laughing and we do not take ourselves too seriously. What makes a woman beautiful is when she is not trying to be anything in particular.

What makes a woman beautiful is when she just is.

And it’s my job to create a space where you feel comfortable enough to just be, and to relax and have fun.

And yes, I use flattering light and direct posing throughout the entire session - I’ve got you!

REVEAL & ORDERING APPOINTMENT

Within two weeks of your session, you’ll review your beautiful portraits and choose your favorites to create your package. Yes, you’ll get the digital copy of each image selected, and also prints! There’s a variety of products to choose from like an album or gift prints; there’s something for everyone.
