I have had the absolute privilege to photograph this family for the last three years, and let me tell you, that is a photographer's dream!

Everyone knows how fast the baby stage goes by, even though as a parent of a newborn, it feels like the sleepless nights will never end...

But here's the thing... It feels like the other major milestones just sort of sneak up on us, like an ambush. One day your sweet child will not give you a moment's break and constantly wants hugs, and the next it seems he's too busy with his friends to give you the time of day...

Growing up is what they are supposed to. They start to go about their own lives little by little by little, until one day they're all grown. And while it's absolutely wonderful to witness their evolution, it goes by in the blink of an eye and we must savor every moment.

Portraits are so powerful, because we can capture these little moments. The little moments that are everything. The way they smile, the way they are right here in this moment. Tomorrow will be a little different and a year from now may seem unrecognizable.

Celebrate the relationships you have now. Because after all, it all comes down to them, right. Family is why we do what we do, why we work so hard, why we try our very best.
