Frequently Asked Questions | New Braunfels Photographer
Have questions about doing a photoshoot? Lots of people do! And you’re in luck, because today, I’m answering some of the most frequently asked ones here!
What do I / we wear for the photoshoot?
We’ll go over all the details and planning in your pre-shoot consultation, so you don’t have to worry about a thing! There’s no need to rush out and buy new outfits (unless you want to of course!), and I can help you put together outfits that will fit the overall look and mood you’re going for.
What if my children don’t cooperate?
I’ve got you. I take a very laid back approach when photographing children and families. I love getting to know kiddos and playing during shoots. It’s my philosophy to follow a child’s lead during a photo session. It’s important to me to capture genuine moments and expressions, so we make it a fun experience in order to do that.
I have years of experience working with kids of all ages and every behavior imaginable. Prior to being a photographer, I worked in the field of social work, and I’m well versed in child development and challenging behaviors. I am not going to be intimidated or make a big deal about anything. So please DON’T WORRY! I’ll take the lead and do my best to make this a fun thing. The less pressure you put on yourself, the better the experience will be and the more authentic your portraits will be.
Do I get digital copies of images?
Yes! For every image you choose to purchase, you get both the digital and print version, as well as a print release.
Can we do an outdoor photo shoot?
Yes! I love shooting outdoors and can help you choose a location if needed. Another beautiful option is in home sessions. These are a lot of fun, can help put everyone at ease and are so meaningful to families and couples. You also have the option to do a combination of in studio and on location for your photo session. We’ll talk about all the details and planning at your pre-shoot consultation.
Can you Photoshop me?
I get this question all the time! And the answer is yes, I do retouch images. I always tell people the same thing: If it’s not permanently part of you, it goes away (blemishes, red/patchy skin, scratches or crumbs on kiddos, etc.) Flattering posing and great lighting takes care of the rest of making sure you look great!
These are just a few of the questions I hear on a regular basis, but if you have any others, send them my way or schedule a complimentary consultation, even if you’re not quite ready to book a session just yet!
