I want every family to have at least one beautiful and professional portrait.  Ideally, every family would have portraits updated regularly as children grow up, but at least one. 

I’ve talked to people that don’t have any photos, let alone professional portraits of their family growing up.  I’ve worked with children in the foster care system that have no photos of their biological family.  I did my best to try to obtain at least one for them when at all possible.  So I am aware that circumstances exist where family photos are not priority or possible. 

But for the vast majority of us, there is really no excuse.  I want to make having a family portrait taken as easy as possible.  I know it can be stressful, trying to coordinate what to wear, worrying about your children’s behavior, or whether or not they will cooperate at all.

I am here to tell you there is nothing to worry about.  I am not at all phased by an unruly toddler (or preschooler or teenager for that matter).  I’ve worked with children of all ages, I’m a mama myself, and I know!  Trust me, I know. 

My philosophy when working with kiddos and families, is to follow the little ones' lead.  I will direct and pose you all day long but we will also go with the flow.  I’m able to work quickly so that we can get everything we need within a very small window of time if your little one is not feeling it on the day of your shoot.  And if everyone’s in a fantastic mood and having a great time, well that just means we’ll get even more great shots! 

There is no excuse for not having family portraits.  I will work with you and figure out a way to overcome any objection or worry you may have.  So if you’ve been putting off having those family photos done, let’s talk!
