What This World Needs More Of

I love a good close up! I always get at least one in every portrait session.  I love faces and showcasing beauty by eliminating all distractions and getting close up.  Every single person is beautiful and fascinating when you really see them. 

It’s difficult not to feel connected to someone when you’re close in.  It’s the same with portraits as it is in life.  When you get closer to someone, it’s harder to see them as “other”, or treat them with disrespect.

Our shared humanity becomes apparent, and it’s difficult to hold on to preconceived judgements or prejudices.  When we connect with one another, it’s so much easier to have love for each other. 

And that is what we need, folks, what this world needs: Connection, love and understanding for each other.  That is the way to peace.
