Wow!  The Fourth of July has come and gone already.  This year is flying by!  Little Man and I are at my mom’s here in Texas and enjoyed a fine evening with great company, good food, lots of swimming and of course, fireworks!  The Fourth of July has always been one of my very favorite holidays.

I grew up in a tiny little  town in the Texas Panhandle called Canadian, and let me tell you, they take this holiday seriously!  There’s a huge parade, turtle races, food, a rodeo (one of the oldest annual rodeos in Texas), and fireworks.  The entire town comes out for this party day!  A love for my country and an appreciation of our freedom was instilled in me as a very young girl.  I love this country and the opportunities that it affords.

I am thankful to be alive here and now, and I intend to always be of service to others, sharing hope and love and the idea that there is always a way if you keep moving forward.
